Senegalese restaurateurs, hoteliers, and caterers still source from multiple suppliers via phone calls and trips to wholesale markets, losing hours each week in negotiation and logistics. Prices vary between suppliers with no transparency, and unexpected stock-outs paralyze kitchens. Small restaurants don't have access to wholesale prices reserved for large buyers and pay up to 30% more than major hotel chains.

The HoReCa (Hotel-Restaurant-Catering) market in Senegal represents over 500 billion FCFA in annual ingredient and consumable purchases. Dakar's tourism development (hotels, gourmet restaurants) creates growing demand for reliable and quality supplies. The B2B food marketplace model has exploded in Europe (Choco, Pepper) and is beginning to emerge in North Africa.

The Concept

HoRekaLink is a mobile and web app letting HoReCa professionals place all their supplier orders in one place. Suppliers (fishmongers, market gardeners, grocery wholesalers, equipment suppliers) create their online catalog with real-time prices and availability. The restaurateur orders in 5 minutes from their phone before 6pm and is delivered the next morning at 6am before the kitchen opens. HoRekaLink aggregates orders from multiple restaurants to the same supplier to trigger wholesale prices even for small buyers. Invoicing is electronic and payment can be deferred 7 days for certified clients.
