On-demand home nursing and paramedical care service, available within 48 hours for chronic patients, post-operative and elderly patients.
The Problem
Senegal has fewer than 0.1 doctors per 1,000 inhabitants and public hospitals are chronically overcrowded. Chronic patients (diabetics, hypertensives) and elderly people must travel long distances for routine care that could be performed at home. Early hospital discharge due to lack of beds causes complications from inadequate post-operative care.
The Opportunity
Senegal's population is aging and the growing middle class is seeking alternatives to overcrowded hospitals. The home healthcare market in Sub-Saharan Africa is estimated at $2 billion by 2028. Health insurance companies are looking for outpatient care partners to reduce their hospital costs.
The Concept
NëbëëlSanté networks qualified and verified nurses, midwives, and physiotherapists who intervene at home on medical prescription or direct request. Booking is done via a mobile app or WhatsApp with confirmation within 2 hours. Services include: injections, wound care, IV drips, blood glucose monitoring, physiotherapy, post-natal care. A digital patient file is created and shareable with the attending physician. Rates are 40% lower than private clinics.
The "Secret Sauce" (USP)
- Verified caregiver network: diplomas, professional insurance, and criminal records checked for every provider
- Digitized health record: every intervention is documented and builds a valuable medical history for the patient and their doctor
- Health insurance partnership: direct reimbursement of services via partner insurers, zero upfront costs for insured patients
